Return to New Orleans

I'm returning to New Orleans on January 12, to help rebuild two homes in the 9th Ward. They were destroyed by hurricanes Katrina and Rita. More than two years later, they're still a mess. In a sense, it's almost unbelievable.

The church group I'm traveling with is based out of Liverpool, NY. I volunteered with them last February, in Gulfport MS.

North Western, NY | 2008

Not too long ago, my former housemate and I took a trip to my mother's house in North Western, NY. From the front side, her house is nestled along the Mohawk River - from the back, it's hugged by a tiny mountain range. I blogged about it a few weeks back and posted some pictures. This weekend, Phil finished editing together a mini-photo piece he filmed while we were up on the mountain. Here it is:

Back Home

I hiked up the mountain in back of my mom's house this weekend. I used to climb it a lot when I was a kid. It's probably been 6-7 years since I've been up there. I snapped some pictures from the top of it. It's really nice this time of year.
